WHY ME (Wants Understanding)

We give glory to the King of glory, the greatest of all, He who has the power over all creations because all were made for His pleasure and glory. This morning we have also come to say thank you for another joyful day because it is the day of the Lord with promises gladness and good tidings. Lord Jesus, bless this day for us and attend to all our concerns that we might return to you with more thanksgiving. Amen.

This new week we are going to have another understanding to a common but not sounding fine question in the ear of many Christians. We interpret it wrongly and never thought it could be to better our relationship with God. When we ask “WHY ME?” it also sounds odd and pleasant to many. Some could even ask if not you then who? WHY from the OXFORD dictionary is an interrogative adverb for what reason or purpose. The MERRIAM-WEBSTER dictionary WHY is said to be an adverb for cause, reason, or purpose. All these means we can ask God WHY of certain matters of our lives simply because we want to know the cause, reason or the purpose of understanding what must have happen to us. This does not means we are standing to question the authority of God or trying to be rebellious against His actions or will.

Habakkuk the prophet one time in his days asks why things were done in Israel by God and some things have to be kept on hold. He is not being rebellious but he desires understanding so that the people can know more about their creator. He needed to know because he has thought about it and felt the response can only come from God and not man.

“The burden which Habakkuk the prophet saw. O Jehovah, until when shall I cry and You will not hear? I cry out to You of violence, and You do not save! Why do You show me evil, and You look on toil? For destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention rises up. Therefore the law has become helpless, and justice does not always go forth. For the wicked entraps the righteous; therefore justice goes forth, being perverted.” Habakkuk 1:1-4 (MKJV)

Brethren what is that hidden and not open to you about your destiny? It shall be made clear to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Whenever you ask the Lord WHY, He will answer you in the name of Jesus. Amen. I know you have many WHY ME but I pray this week they shall be answered and sorted out for your testimony in Jesus most precious name. Amen.

Do have a pleasant week ahead brethren as you anticipate response to you WHY in Jesus name. Amen. There shall be continuity to the WHY of Habakkuk tomorrow for better understanding. Good morning.

Prophet Johnson Oluwagbenga Adeniyi.
