Glory to God for this midweek hopefully it shall bring forth joy in place of sorrow and goodness in place of bad in Jesus name. Amen. This morning the Lord wants us to learn from the prayer of a Prophet who after he has given the message the Lord sent him to the people of Israel. He expresses the goodness of the Lord even as he pleads for the mercies of the Lord in His judgement towards His people. However he decided to continue with the Lord God even when things are not coming as expected. Amen.
“Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no grain, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my savior. The Sovereign LORD gives me strength. He makes me sure-footed as a deer and keeps me safe on the mountains.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 (GNB)
God here will not be so difficult to understand His people even to the extent of neglecting them. What He detest is that we don’t appreciate His knowing fully to the people that God has being faithful and wonderful before this time. Jehovah wants us to thank Him for what He has done in our lives and believe that He who did that which we are thanking Him for could do better now. Brethren even when He is not doing the present you are requesting does not make Him unfaithful, likewise does not say He is unable or incompetent to be God.
Brethren our murmurs deprive us of the goodness of God and show us as ungrateful children to Him. The truth is that there is no one who does well that does not to be appreciated. No wonder the scriptures call His a jealous God who could wait and see if you will leave Him for another God elsewhere. Appreciate Him for the little He has done for you and be more determine to keep in contact to Him irrespective of your challenges. He is ready to continue with you.
I pray for you today that you will not fall away from being God child in Jesus name. The strength to keep hold on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith be given to you in Jesus name. Amen. Good morning and happy midweek. Amen.
