We are debtors to sin when we know what is right to be done and not do it. We even do more harm to ourselves be endangering our lives because of sin. Brethren we should ensure we are doing the rightful things so as not to put heavier weight on ourselves with could come to harm us.
However, putting to mind the further teaching of Apostle James while writing his epistle to the world. He said everything is not right until you are doing what you know is good and appropriate. Then you are free from sin and not more weight on you.
“Therefore sin is still in the one that knows to do good and does not do it.” James 4:17 (JUB)
Brethren, it is a very heavy weight upon you to know what is right and not do it. You might felt so strong in your spirit that I have no sin I me because you are not fornicating, worshipping idol and so on. But you are seeing things going wrong and you kept so quiet, brethren you are doing greater harm to yourself by adding more weight on you. It doesn’t make you feel free to see things right because you are choked in sin and conscious of yourself instead of being conscious of God through Jesus Christ.
I urge you this morning brethren to help yourself by doing what is glaring to you and scripturally true and rightful. By doing this you fulfil the teaching of the writer of book of Hebrews 12:1 “As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.” (GNT)
I sincerely pray that the grace to do things right Jehovah will give you in Jesus name. May you never go astray in Jesus name. Amen. Good morning.
