Halleluyah!
We appreciate the Lord for the grace for another new week loaded with varieties of prospect from the Lord Jehovah. Amen. Every prospect are for you and you shall enjoy to the extreme the full dosage of every good in the week in Jesus name. Amen.
We will be looking to a very great topic this week and we shall ensure we make it a point of responsibility to treat it to a good extent. The topic will be identifying the person we are and pointing to our birthright. "DESPISING BIRTHRIGHT "
To despise is to make worthless, of no value and make not relevant
Birthright is : a right, privilege or possession to which a person is entitled by birth. It could be inheritance, heritage, privilege, legacy and so on.
Therefore to despise birthright is to make worthless and of no value ones right or possession to which he/she is entitled.
There are things we do today that could really help us to take away our birthright and future heritage. This morning we will take a brief case study of one of the sons of Jacob who make of no relevance his headship in the family because of his mischief towards in father's bed.
1. Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.
2. “Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.
3. “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honour, excelling in power.
4. Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel, for you went up onto your father’s bed, onto my couch and defiled it. Genesis 49:1-4 (NIV)
Reuben is destined to be a man of honour and very bright future but he by his foolishness make the an eternal struggling. May you never by yourself demoralise your God designed heritage which is your destiny in Jesus name. Amen. It obvious from this text that Reuben has been entitled with series of successes and greatness which his children would have benefited from but he for the sake of immediate sex despise that generational heritage. May you not despise you generational heritage in Jesus name. Amen.
I pray for wisdom from divine for you and grace to stand firm till the future is perfected for your good in Jesus name. You will not loose any of the benefits kept in the future for you which are your birthright in Jesus name. Amen.
