Acceptable Fasting (Not Hypocrisy)

Halleluyah!
We bless God for today being the very first Sunday of the month April 2016. I pray we shall witness much more in joy and fulfilment in Jesus name. Amen.
This morning we are looking at another major emphasis of Jesus on the way and manner we should fast and pray as Christians. Jesus made it known in this teaching that when we fast and pray we expect rewards from the Father in Heaven.

16. “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
17. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,
18. so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:16-18 (NIV)

Hypocritism which is the act of being hypocrite meaning put false appearance on oneself has taken charge of many when fasting and praying. Jesus made it obvious that the reward expected from the Father in Heaven has been received from that false appearance.
Basically what the Lord is saying here is that our fasting and prayer should be in the secret not making a public show of your weakness or tiredness while fasting. It is a very dangerous thing to make open our fasting neither is it health to make place oneself look down casted while fasting and prayer. It is not a platform for God to answer our prayer nor does it give preference to our request while fasting.
I pray for good understanding from God divine for you so as to see the purpose of God for your life in Jesus name. Amen. After today I your fasting and prayer shall be honoured by God through Jesus. Amen. There shall be testimony in you fasting and prayers in Jesus name. Amen. This month of April shall release to the fullest every pending testimonies in Jesus name. Amen.
Brethren ensure you participate in a church service today as it an agreement by the first church elder that Sunday be our Sabbath day to fulfill the law of keeping the Sabbath day holy to the Lord. It shall be well with us all. Amen.
Good morning brethren and happy first Sunday of the month. Amen
